These are the lyrics for “Fire Fire Fire”. I wrote these right before recording them for the first time, as has become my new way of writing. Somehow it seems to work for me, and it helps me capture the mood of a song instantly, preventing me from over-thinking the meaning or message of a song.

These lyrics were written based on the title for the song, which Anders had already come up with, together with a word or two from an early demo version he recorded for me to describe the song melody he wanted. However, the picture I was trying to draw in the lyrics are based on a particular moment I held in my head while I wrote them down.

Lyrics for “Silver Night”

The lyrics for “Silver Night” reflect a specific feeling I had, waiting for the chance to get back at someone I was really angry with. The expression “silver night” is my own concoction, meaning “golden opportunity” or something like that.

I quite like these lyrics since I think they have a good flow and also work pretty well with the mood of the song.

Lyrics for “Underachievers”

Yesterday we were to make the first real recording of vocals for “Underachievers”. Since my new writing method is “stream of consciousness” I took about 30 minutes to jot down some lyrics for the song in the “studio” while Anders worked on some guitar parts to possibly be added later.

These are the lyrics that were recorded last night in the first vocal takes. I’m not sure whether they will last or if I’ll be making some changes if we decide to record more vocals later.
