This is the first vocal take on Fire Fire Fire. I wrote the lyrics and recorded the vocals keeping a certain moment in my head, using the phrase Anders had already made up for the song (Fire Fire Fire). The mix is pretty rough and I have thrown in a snare which will most likely upset Anders. :)
I don’t know if the snare really should go there, but I feel like something should fill that space. If not a snare, then what?

Great Måns! I like both the lyrics, the vocals and the snare! The backing vocal really adds to the chorus as well.
I have an idea for the snare: it can be half as often after the first chorus and in the second verse, and them come in on 4/4 (as it is now) after the second chorus?
Maybe we should add more strings as well, for that 50ies sound?
Sounds like a good idea! I was thinking about lowering the pitch of the snare as well.
And listening to this recording in my phone headphones I notice that the vocal sound is really muffled and “thick”. It sounded a lot better in my other headphones. So some good tweaking of the vocal EQ and effects would be good.
